"Hunters and Non-Hunters for Gun Violence Prevention". Speakers are Bryan Miller, Executive Director of Ceasefire New Jersey, the Garden State's leading organization devoted to reducing gun violence, and Drick Boyd, Professor of Urban and Interdisciplinary Studies at Eastern University. Miller and Boyd are founding members of "Heeding God's Call," a multi faith organization which advocates for common sense laws pertaining to gun sales.

"A Place to Call Home: Welcoming New Immigrant Neighbors"
Morning plenary presentions and open discussion,led by Peter Pedemonti, Zac Steele, Tammy Alexander and Bob Walden. Beginning with a biblical-theological framework, the workshop looks at the questions: Who are the new immigrants - in our communities and in our churches? Why do they come here? How do they impact community life? What are the issues concerning U.S. immigration law and enforcement?
An afternoon workshop on "Public Policy and Legislative Issues," led by Tammy Alexander follows lunch.

"Building Effective Partnerships: Conversation on Culture, Money & Kingdom Building Across the Urban-Suburban-Rural Divide". This event will intentionally engage the fault-lines of culture and finance in Kingdom Building efforts through scriptural reflection and interactive small and large group discussion. Morning conversation will be followed by lunch provided by urban congregations.

"Was Jesus a Conscientous Objector?".
Created primarily for Youth, a
separate session for adults will be held concurrently, with some time
for both age groups to meet together. Participants will have the
opportunity to explore the issues surrounding conscientious objection to
war and militarism, hear stories of past C.O.s, and encourage each other
in saying a conscientious "yes" to following Jesus. Pizza will be
served. Led by the West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship's Peace Group,
the seminar is sponsored by the Peace and Justice Committee.

"Why Object: Military Enlistment, Conscientious Objection, and Voluntary Service"
with Titus Peachey.
If war is wrong...what do we do about all the violence and evil in the world? DonĂt we have some responsibility to protect the innocent? Can we just stand by and do nothing while violence happens? What are our options? Join us for an afternoon of worship, discussion, and pizza focused on issues of military recruitment, conscientious objection and voluntary service. Youth, parents, youth leaders, and young adults are welcome.

"Worship and Mission After Christendom" with Alan & Eleanor Kreider,
authors of the book by the same title. Alan and Eleanor served at the London Mennonite Centre in London, England for many years as well as faculty at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary. They were part of founding the Anabaptist Network in the United Kingdom and have done much work in what it means to minister in a Post Christendom world. "A Place to Call Home: Our New Immigrant Neighbors".
Peter Pedemonti (New Sanctuary Movement, Philadelphia), Maria Byler (Philadelphia Praise Center), and Bob Walden (Peace & Justice Committee and West Swamp Mennonite Church) will lead breakfast conversation. Who are the new immigrants in our congregations and communities, and why did they come here? Starting from a biblical framework, the discussion will address particularly the difficult questions about our undocumented immigrants and provide an overview of immigration issues through personal stories of local immigrants. Also, there will be a brief review of resources for sermons and group study.
